A little piece of paradise…
September 14th, 2007
is what I like to call where my sister and brother in law live. Jason and Summer have it made in Laguna Beach they have a private beach and the most amazing views of the ocean! The perfect place to spend an afternoon with the Hemeon’s. We played bocce ball on the sand and then went up to Jason and Summer’s for a BBQ and a little surprise birthday cake for Randy. The girls enjoyed making a playground slide out of the stairs and running away from Otis (the dog). Maren talks non stop about getting a dog of our own but whenever we are around any dogs she asks the owners a hundred questions about them being nice and not biting or jumping etc. Finally, every once and a while she will pet them but it is such a process for her. With Otis she would just make sure to stay out on the patio or front deck with the screen between her and the dog. She would quickly move in and out but wanted one of the adults to watch Otis. We had a relaxing and wonderful time. As for our little Maren, I am not so sure she is ever relaxed around dogs.

Grandpa Randy’s Visit
September 12th, 2007
We were lucky to have Marc’s dad in town for 4 days. Maren was so excited to have Grandpa escort her to school! We all headed to Catalina Island early Saturday and had a full day of biking, site seeing, slipper hunting etc. All of Marc’s siblings were there except for Michael. We missed you Mike. Marc is hoping to convince the last 3 Hemeon’s living back east to move out here and join the rest!

Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
May 8th, 2007

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
Amazing to think our little Michelle is all grown up and is now, as of Saturday, a college graduate. We are very proud of her and glad to see her finish what she set out to accomplish. Michelle has always been, for better or worse, the peacemaker. Always smiling and available to listen. Michelle has a heart of gold. Growing up with 4 loud obnoxious older brothers did not crush her sweet sould. Michelle - good luck with whatever you choose to do next. If you decide you would like to settle down with a man, just remember he has to go out on a boat with all the brothers so we can see if he is worthy of you.
